FILMS YOU SHOULD BE WATCHING #PRIDEMONTH
For me pride season is really important, I’m one for the history of lgbtqia+ culture and I revel in pride season to commemorate those that came before us. I do truly appreciate the people that helped us get to where we are now, with rights, and the ability to lead our own lives without punishment (in most of the world).
One way of learning lgbtqia+ history or culture, is through tv and film, and I thought it would be a good idea for this season to share a list of films that I’ve seen, enjoyed, and learned something from.
Here’s the list of the films you should be watching!
Paris is burning (Documentary)
Pose (tv series)
Tales of the city (tv show)
I am Michael (film)
The death and life of Marsha.P.Johnson (Documentary)
Strike a pose (documentary)
For the bible tells me so (Documentary)
Queer Eye (tv series)
Rupauls Drag race (tv series)
The Danish Girl
LAST #PRIDEMONTH POST
Priscilla queen of the desert
Rocky horror picture show
There’s a bunch of them out there that I haven’t seen, and I’m really looking for the classics to watch too so slide into my DM’s on Twitter or Instagram if you’ve got any!!
Take care, stay safe.
