The Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award.

Welcome to The Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award.

The lovely Jaclynisticvibes nominated me in this award post, so I decided to break my own rules, so it could go up. I’ve seen this award go around and it reminds me of the Liebster Award that I saw a few years back, so I’m glad I’ve been tagged in it, it’s a fun thing to do and I appreciate Jaclyn for thinking of me.

You can read Jaclyns post here and make sure you’re following her blog!!

So what’s it all about?

The award image that you must include if you decide to take part in this blogger award tag.

When you are nominated the Vincent Ehindero Blogger Award. you need to follow these rules:

  1. Thank the person who nominated you with a link to their blog.
  2. Write a post about the award (with a photo of the logo).
  3. Post these rules.
  4. Ask 5-10 questions of your choice.
  5. Nominate 10-30 other bloggers and notify them. They have to answer the questions you create in rule 4.

So here are the questions set by Jaclyn.

What invention/product do you wish you’d created and why?

I’ve taken a bit of a philosophical view with this one. I’m all about progression of not only myself but others, so I think if I wish I’d invented anything it would be the wheel. Not only is it something we all use and need, but it progressed our human development and is something that keeps developing over time.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

“Someone’s always in a worse position than yourself” When I’m feeling low or when things aren’t going the way I want them to, this is the piece of advice I always go back to. It humbles me and makes me appreciate the things I do have rather than being concerned with the things I don’t – which most of the time are materialistic. I have a roof over my head, a good connection with family, a job I actually enjoy. What more do I actually need?

If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

Time travel. I wouldn’t go back and change anything major, but silly stuff. Like the time I cut my own hair, or maybe tell my old self to save some more money. Or my 14 year old self to not start smoking. Stuff like that. I’m one of those believers of not messing with too much in the past. My past had made me who I am, but really. Cutting my own hair was mistake.

Who would you want to play you in a movie about your life?

He’s older (no he’s not… he’s 10 months younger!) but if Sam smith was an actor it would have to be him. I identify a lot with Sam, other than the fact I can’t sing. But I do find a lot of similarities in our personalities. We both blur that line between masculine and feminine, both on the thicker side (and okay with it). He’s probably the only artist I’ve ever related to on a personal level, which might sound a bit weird, but I know what I mean.

Which of your fellow bloggers do you admire the most?

I can’t just pick one. I admire a lot of different bloggers for different reasons. If I can summarise my admiration, it would be for the bloggers that want to make a difference. Bloggers that have a purpose for their blog. The bloggers who are constantly supporting each other. Bloggers who don’t give up on their passions or dreams. I not only admire these people but they inspire me to keep going.

If you had to chose only one of these social media platforms to use which would it be – Facebook, Instagram or Twitter?

Has to be twitter. I’ve made more connections to people on there than any other platform. I love instagram because I’m a visual person, I love imagery and I’m a visual learner, but if I had to pick just one to use, it would have to be twitter for me.

What’s your favourite room in your house?

My “office”. I’m currently looking into redecorating it to make it more of a personal space, but I love it because it’s my own little place other than my bedroom. I’m lucky enough to have this spare room in the house that I can go to and it’s sole purpose if for me to sit and write.

Baths or showers?

Since we had the wet room put in for my nan, it would have to be a shower because we don’t own a bath anymore. Plus I like the efficiency of a shower, lying in a nice warm (or scolding hot) bath is lovely but I definitely prefer the quickness of a shower!

If you had the opportunity to time travel, would you rather go back in time or forward in time and why?

If it was a one off thing I’d like to go forward. I mentioned my superpower before but I suppose that would be a re-occurring thing. But if I was given one choice, I’d like to see where I end up. So about 10 years in the future just to see where I am would be nice. Don’t want to know how I die or anything.

Complete this sentence. Not a lot of people know this about me but…

My childhood dream was to be on a stage. I always dreamt of being a dancer, but growing up with my Nan and Granddad it was made clear that “boy’s don’t dance” so it was a dream that was never supported. These days scoliosis kicked in and restricts a bit of movement so maybe it’s a dream that would never have happened. Who knows?

Here’s my questions.

1.If there was one thing in your life you could change. What would it be and why?

2.Who/what inspires you?

3.Favourite film of all time and why?

4.Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

5.If you had £1,000,000 what would you do with it?

6.What made you start your blog?

Now I did have a list of people to tag, but because it’s taken me a little longer to get this up with everything that’s been going on. I’ve noticed they’ve all been tagged by other people. So I’m going against the grain and opening it up to all that want to participate.

If you do decided to take part, don’t forget to tag me so I can read your responses!!

Take care, stay safe.

Thanks for taking part James! I’ve enjoyed reading this and getting to know you better. I agree about Twitter, that’s where I’ve made the most connections with fellow bloggers and writers too. In fact that’s where I met you!
